Director of Development

This is a great position for a mission-aligned development professional who has the skill set to lead a development team with passion and purpose and enjoys using data to inform strategies to achieve results! Requirements include: 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline 
  • 3+ years of successful nonprofit fundraising 
  • Proven leadership in team management 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Adherence to mission and core values including faith-based, empathy, commitment, teamwork and growth. 
  • Ability to travel within the five counties of Southeastern Pennsylvania Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation with insurance coverage.

Scheduling Coordinator

Often the first point-of-contact, the Scheduling Coordinator plays an important role in creating a welcoming connection and controlling the messaging to encourage abortion-minded women to take the first step by scheduling an appointment.

Through positive messaging and consistency in follow up such as reminders and appointment confirmations, the Scheduling Coordinator prompts the woman to take action to attend the scheduled appointment.

Major Goals:
1. Ensure when a woman reaches out (online or via telephone) an appointment is scheduled within 24-48 hours
2. Consistently follow up with each woman scheduled to help ensure she keeps the appointment
3. Ensure timely collection and reporting of daily data matrix

Job Duties:
• Answer incoming calls
• Schedule client appointments:
  o Via phone and online booking links
  o Upon receipt of each online booking, call client to confirm appointment
  o Ensure client phone number is accurately recorded so automated text reminder reaches them
  o Proactively call to confirm all appointments one day in advance and the day of the appointment
  o Monitor chat function of online booking software during normal business hours
• Maintain multiple spreadsheets / data matrix to:
  o Enter data for each appointment and client such as: call records, nickname, number of pregnancy tests performed, women who choose life, appointment no shows, etc.
  o Run reports on a scheduled basis
  o Review reports, check for accuracy and point out discrepancies
  o Provide accurate and timely reports to Client Services Manager
• Supply data for Client Services monthly board meeting reports
• In the clinic where the scheduler is based, welcome clients and expedite check in process:
  o Help with client intake paperwork
  o Make a copy of client's ID
• Each day, run reports to ensure accurate data for scheduled appointments
• Support advertiser needs by gathering data and providing key data highlights to advertisers, so they continue to fund marketing efforts to reach abortion-minded women
• Each day, compile praise and prayers request and load into Mail Chimp
• Monthly, create new email chain for praise and prayer requests
• Monitor security cameras throughout the day and alert suspicious activity as needed
• Resolve routine issues, establish work priorities, and make decisions within established guidelines and authority
• Regularly attend team meetings and voluntarily participate in internal committees

Requirements:
• General working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:55 am - 5 pm with limited absences/tardiness. Additional hours (nights and weekends) may be required to complete objectives, including the flexibility to work at any one of the LOLF centers.
• Attend occasional webinars and training
• Travel to other centers on an occasional, as needed basis
• General office position requiring significant visual effort and involves assignments requiring significant levels of concentration and sitting for extended periods of time
• Interacting with general public and a diverse population including pregnant women and their family who may accompany them

Knowledge and Skills:
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years working in an office or medical clinic setting
• Good telephone skills with ability to schedule appointments and look for calendar openings that work for clients
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong Excel skills
• Experience with a client relationship management (CRM) database a plus but not required
• Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry

Partnerships Manager

The Partnerships Manager oversees all fundraising efforts with organizations, parishes, and groups. This role has a direct impact on saving the lives of babies and strengthening families by meeting or exceeding fundraising revenue goals. These fundraising goals are achieved by creating and executing plans to engage:

  • local parishes as well as individual parishioners
  • faith-based, pro-life groups and service clubs such as the Knights of Columbus, student organizations on college campuses that align with the pro-life movement

Major Goals:

  1. Consistently meet or exceed fundraising revenue goals
  2. Retain relationship and commitment with existing parishes, service clubs, and community organizations to schedule Baby Bottle Drives year after year
  3. Grow total dollars raises year over year by increasing key accelerators into key parishes
  4. Increase number of parishes participating in Baby Bottle Drives year over year
  5. Schedule and assign tour leaders to conduct Women’s Center tours to increase donations
  • Manage and strategically grow Baby Bottle Drive fundraising program:

o   Research and remain current on leadership and organizational structure/key members identifying the correct contacts to advocate for Legacy of Life Foundation

o   Secure meeting with appropriate organization leader to discuss Baby Bottle Drive fundraising

o   Deliver fundraising speeches and presentations to solicit parish, service club, and/or community organization participation

o   Secure commitment for the organization to participate

o   Build an on-going partnership to continue to evolve the relationship and opportunities within Legacy of Life Foundation

o   Directly oversee the execution of 50-60% of Baby Bottle Drive fundraisers scheduled

  • Provide leadership and direction
  • Manage volunteers

o   Provide oversight and leadership to Partnerships Coordinator who will directly oversee the remaining 40-50% of Baby Bottle Drive fundraisers 

 Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years proven success in non-profit fundraising experience. Faith-based fundraising a plus
  • Proven experience in program management, donor relations, major gift fundraising, or related roles with a track record of successful fundraising
  • Experience with Mainstream donor database (CRM), such as Bloomerang, a plus
  • Uncompromising morals, ethics, and integrity to maintain confidences in all matters

Partnerships Coordinator

This role has a direct impact on saving the lives and strengthening families by:

  • Successfully executing parish Baby Bottle Drives
  • Recruiting, vetting, and onboarding volunteers
  • Scheduling and staffing Women’s Center tours to encourage donations

Major Goals:

  1. Assist in the growth of existing fundraising portfolio by successfully executing partnerships fundraising efforts, primarily parish Baby Bottle Drives
  2. Ensure a robust pool of trained volunteers to assist when and where necessary
  3. Schedule and assign tour leaders to conduct Women’s Center tours to increase donations
  • Execute and grow parish Baby Bottle Drives

o   Maintain master schedule

o   Working in sync with Partnerships Manager for a successful coordinated effort of the execution details of each parish Baby Bottle Drive opportunity

o   Drive the execution of each individual parish Baby Bottle Drive by:

  • Recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers, including each speaking opportunity, retrieving bottle drive donations and materials after the event, etc.
  • Being present or on-call for 40-50% of Baby Bottle Drives to handle inquiries and day-of-event activities
  • Maintain inventory of bottle drive materials. Replenish as needed
  • Customize and edit bottle drive materials. Ensure parish information and schedule accuracy prior to printing
  • Work with Partnerships Manager and other leaders to ensure development of new seasonal speech used for Baby Bottle Drives
  • Promote bottle drive by working with parish to include in bulletin and social media prior to Baby Bottle Drive campaign date
  • Coordinate delivery of materials to parish
  • Ensure each parish has what they need prior to the Baby Bottle Drive

Schedule volunteers:

  • Ensure volunteer positions and time slots are filled
  • Work to ensure available volunteers are being used to the best of their abilities
  • Work to maximize volunteer hours by scheduling each volunteer in the areas they wish to volunteer and as many hours as they wish 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, a plus or related work experience
  • Strong desire to work in non-profit fundraising, focused on executing fundraising events along with general administration duties
  • Proven experience in an administrative role balancing multiple priorities
  • Uncompromising morals, ethics, and integrity to maintain confidences in all matters
  • Experience managing others through influence or a desire to do so
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to foster long-term relationships
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of mainstream donor database (CRM), such as Bloomerang, Donor Perfect, Stripe, a plus
