What Does It Mean To Be Blessed?

Legacy of Life

Definition of Blessed:
Blessed.  If you say you've been blessed, you feel lucky to have something: health, love, fame, fortune, talent, etc.
It's a special favor, mercy, or benefit: the blessings of liberty.
It's a favor or gift bestowed by God, thereby bringing happiness. It's the invoking of God's favor upon a person.
Watch and listen as these women and men share that having a baby is a blessing!  Not the abortion!
It's the joy of the blessing that is ongoing and continues on!  It's the joy of receiving so much favor from God to have been spared the lifetime of pain and suffering!  It's the ripple effect that this blessing has on a person, a family and or world!
Thank you for being a part of the blessing! Pass this on so others might be blessed!
God bless!

  1. actually, blessed means 'made holy; consecrated'. i know the trendy term is used a lot, but it really is an egocentric term, thinking that we can know as humans who is blessed or who deserves to be.

    i think it lacks humility.

  2. Most of men of God when they speak with me they say im blessed
I always ask myself as to why they say so
Can you you assist me to that regard

  3. I think the usage of BE BLESSED is a misnomer. When I here people say it I imm think...they don't know what it means.

Ur description is very different from 'having a child is a blessing' that makes sense.

To BE BLESSED I imagine falling on the floor writhing in ecstacy.

When it is used in common vernacular...it loses the beauty, the import of it's meaning.

If GOD blesses me that is a sacred act and not one that comes out of the humans mouth. It loses its meaning.

It is, I feel, a fault of religion.

  4. I started this saying back in the early 80's. I was at work (in a large company} and said this in response to a black lady asking how I was doing, I said I was blessed, meaning I was lucky for everything about me, She thought I meant I was lucky to be white. I worked on the comment with her and she eventually understood what I was saying. At that point she began saying this to everybody and the comment took off
